How to use assessment analytics

Analytics dashboards turn raw assessment scores into insights: which criteria are strongest/weakest, which categories are improving, coach performance patterns.

Access

• Sidebar → Assessments → Analytics (/assessments/admin/analytics/)

Available views

Cycle-level

• Score distribution — histogram of all trainees' overall scores in one cycle
• Criteria heatmap — which criteria coaches score highest/lowest across the club (identifies training gaps)
• Category comparison — average scores per category (U8, U10, U12) side by side
• Coach comparison — average scores per coach (with variance) — flags outlier scoring patterns

Trend

• Per-criteria trend — one criterion over multiple cycles → improvement/decline
• Per-category trend — how a category's average has moved over time
• Individual trainee trajectory — one trainee's line chart across all their cycles

Alerts

AAU Club Manager flags patterns worth checking: - Improvement — trainees who jumped 2+ score bands - Decline — trainees whose average dropped 2+ bands - Outliers — coach scoring consistently 20%+ above/below others

Filter

Every chart supports: - Date range (which cycles to include) - Category - Age group - Coach - Gender

Export

• Each chart has an Export CSV button → raw data behind the chart
• Export Full Report PDF — everything in one printable file

Use cases

• Coaching curriculum planning — heatmap shows Passing is weak club-wide → focus next term on passing drills
• Coach development — an outlier coach may need calibration; discuss with them
• Parent showcase — share the trend chart with a parent asking about their child's progress
