How to regenerate, revoke, or delete a certificate

Regenerate

Use when the underlying template changed (fixed typo, updated logo) and you want the certificate PDF to reflect the new design.

  1. Sidebar → Certificates → Certificates
  2. Filter to the affected certificates
  3. Open one → Regenerate PDF → new PDF replaces old
  4. The verification code stays the same

Bulk regenerate: - Filter → tick multiple → Bulk Regenerate - Common after: template design change, logo update, admin signature swap

Regenerate all from a template: - Templates → open template → Regenerate All Certificates From This Template → AAU Club Manager re-renders every certificate ever issued using this template

Revoke

Use when the certificate should no longer be considered valid — e.g. issued in error, recipient's award was rescinded.

  1. Certificate detail → Revoke → enter reason (required)
  2. Certificate status flips to Revoked
  3. Public verification page shows 🚫 Revoked with reason
  4. Recipient notified by email

Revoked certificates: - Stay on the recipient's profile with a red badge - PDF still downloadable but stamped REVOKED - Verification lookups return the revoked state

Bulk revoke — filter → tick → Bulk Revoke with shared reason.

Delete

Use when the certificate was created by mistake and shouldn't exist at all.

  1. Certificate detail → Delete → confirm
  2. Record removed from DB
  3. Verification code returns Not found
  4. Recipient's profile no longer shows it

Bulk delete: - Filter → tick → Bulk Delete → confirm count twice

Warning: deletion is irreversible. Prefer Revoke for audit purposes.

Resend notification

If the recipient didn't get the original email:

  1. Certificate detail → Resend Notification → same PDF re-emailed
  2. Bulk Resend Notifications — for a batch that missed emails (e.g. Cloudinary was down when originals fired)

Undo

Cara regenerate, revoke, padam sijil

Regenerate

Bila template diubah (typo, logo baru).

  1. Certificates → filter → buka → Regenerate PDF
  2. Kod verify kekal

Bulk: Bulk Regenerate. Dari template: Templates → Regenerate All Certificates From This Template.

Revoke

Bila sijil sepatutnya tak sah lagi.

  1. Certificate → Revoke + sebab
  2. Status Revoked, PDF stamped REVOKED, email penerima

Bulk: Bulk Revoke + sebab kongsi.

Delete

Bila silap cipta.

  1. Certificate → Delete → confirm
  2. Rekod padam, verify jadi Not found

Bulk: Bulk Delete — confirm dua kali. Amaran: irreversible.

Resend notification

Certificate → Resend Notification. Bulk: Bulk Resend Notifications.
