How to verify a certificate

Every AAU Club Manager-issued certificate has a unique verification code. Anyone can check if a certificate is authentic — useful for schools, universities, recruiters, or federation entry rules.

Public verification page

• URL: aauclubmanager.com/certificates/verify/<code>/ (the code is printed on the certificate)
• Or scan the QR code printed on the certificate PDF

Steps

1. Open the verification page
2. Enter the certificate code (e.g. CERT-20260123-ABCDEF) OR upload the certificate PDF
3. Click Verify

AAU Club Manager shows: - ✅ Valid — recipient name, issuing club, issue date, template, purpose (Attendance / Recognition / Tournament Award) - ❌ Not found — code doesn't match any issued certificate - 🚫 Revoked — certificate was issued but later revoked (with reason)

For recipients

• Certificate PDF has:
• QR code (top-right by default) — scan to open verification page pre-filled
• Certificate code printed at the bottom
• Share the code with anyone who needs to verify authenticity

Coach / Admin: view all certificates for a trainee

• Trainee profile → Certificates tab — lists every certificate issued to them with links to verify

Federation submissions

Federations often ask for certificate codes as proof of participation / achievement: - Include the code on player registration forms - Federation officials verify at /certificates/verify/<code>/

Fraud protection

• Codes are cryptographically random (~2 billion combinations per prefix)
• Guessing a valid code is statistically impossible
• Every verification attempt logged (admin can review suspicious patterns)

API access

For automated verification (federation systems): - GET /api/certificates/verify/<code>/ — returns JSON with certificate details - No auth required; rate-limited to 100 requests/hour per IP

Cara verify sijil

Setiap sijil ada kod unik. Sesiapa boleh check keaslian.

Langkah

1. Masukkan kod (cth. CERT-20260123-ABCDEF) atau upload PDF

Result: - ✅ Valid — nama, kelab, tarikh, tujuan - ❌ Not found - 🚫 Revoked + sebab

Untuk penerima

PDF ada QR + kod dicetak bawah. Kongsi kod untuk verify.

Coach/Admin

Profile pelatih → Certificates tab.

Federasi

Federasi minta kod — verify di /certificates/verify/<kod>/.

GET /api/certificates/verify/<code>/ — JSON, rate limit 100/jam.
