How to manage tournament matches and brackets

Matches are the actual games/fixtures within a tournament. AAU Club Manager supports round-robin, knockout, and mixed formats.

Create matches

1. Tournament detail → Matches tab → Create Match
2. Fill in: - Round / stage — e.g. Group Stage, Quarter Final, Semi Final, Final - Date + time - Venue (defaults to tournament venue) - Team / participant A - Team / participant B - Referee / official
3. Save

Auto-generate matches from groups

For round-robin within groups (see Manage tournament groups):

1. Groups tab → Generate Matches
2. Choose: - Format — Round-robin (everyone plays everyone), Single-elimination, Double-elimination - Match duration - Break between matches
3. Preview the schedule
4. Confirm — AAU Club Manager creates all matches with auto-assigned times

Knockout bracket

For elimination tournaments: 1. Matches → Bracket View 2. Drag participants into their bracket slots (or use auto-seed based on ranking) 3. As winners are declared, they auto-advance to the next round

Edit / cancel a match

• Matches → click a match → Edit — change time, venue, referee
• Cancel — mark cancelled without deleting; opponents notified
• Delete — for truly erroneous matches

Reschedule

• Match detail → Reschedule — new date/time; all participants + refs auto-notified

Match status

• Scheduled — upcoming
• In Progress — currently being played
• Completed — result recorded
• Cancelled — cancelled with reason
• No Show — one/both teams didn't turn up

Status flips automatically as coaches record results.

Cara urus match / bracket kejohanan

Cipta match

1. Kejohanan → Matches tab → Create Match
2. Isi: round, tarikh, venue, participant A/B, referee
3. Save

Auto-generate dari groups

Groups → Generate Matches → format (Round-robin, Single-elim, Double-elim), duration, break → Preview → Confirm.

Knockout bracket

Matches → Bracket View — drag peserta / auto-seed. Winner auto-advance.

Edit / cancel

Match → Edit / Cancel / Delete / Reschedule.

Status

Scheduled → In Progress → Completed / Cancelled / No Show.
