How self check-in works (kiosk-style)
Coach / Club Admin · Bahasa Melayu below
Self check-in is a "kiosk mode" — a shared tablet at the venue where anyone (trainee, coach, member, staff) can search their name and check in.
When to use
- Big sessions where scanning individual QRs is slow
- Venues without reliable WiFi (kiosk can work offline briefly)
- Mixed attendance (trainees + coaches + members) all at once
Setup
- Sidebar → Training → Sessions (
/attendance/sessions/) and click the kiosk button on the session's row (or open the session and click Self Check-in). The kiosk opens at/attendance/sessions/<session>/self-checkin/. - Pin the tab open on a shared tablet at the venue entrance
- Set the tablet to full-screen mode
The user flow
- Person walks in → sees the check-in page on the kiosk
- Types their name in the search box
- AAU Club Manager returns matching people from their role's list
- Tap Check In on their row
- Screen shows "Welcome,
!" for 3 seconds → resets for next person
Multiple roles
The kiosk page searches trainees, coaches, members and staff, each with their own search box, so one tablet covers everyone at that session.
Restrictions
- One session — each kiosk belongs to the session you opened it from; open a new one for the next session
- Enrolled only — the search only shows people enrolled in the current session's category
- One check-in per person — repeat searches show "already checked in"
Guest / walk-in
If someone isn't in the search results — they're a walk-in. See Walk-in attendance.
