How digital downloads work

Digital products (training plans, video packs, ebooks, session templates) are delivered via secure download links.

Parent side

After purchase

1. Order status flips to Paid immediately (no shipping needed)
2. Confirmation email includes a Download button per file
3. Same links accessible any time from Sidebar → My Orders → order → Download

Download links

• Each link is unique per order + file
• Time-limited (default 30 days from purchase)
• Usage-limited (default 5 downloads per link)
• Personalized — link tied to buyer's account

Watermarks

If enabled by the club: - PDF files auto-watermarked with buyer's name + email + purchase date - Prevents sharing (buyer's identity embedded in every copy) - Multiple watermarks throughout the document

Streaming for large files

• Videos larger than 500 MB stream instead of downloading
• Progressive playback — start watching before full download
• Right-click to save (browser dependent)

Admin side

Upload files

See Create a product — Type: Digital section.

Download settings per product

• Max downloads per purchase — default 5; increase for high-value or family-sharable products
• Link expiry days — default 30
• Watermark — toggle on for PDFs
• Preview file — free public preview (e.g. first 3 pages of an ebook)

Monitor downloads

• Sidebar → Shop → Manage → Orders → Digital
• Per order: see how many times each file was downloaded, from which IP
• Suspicious activity (10+ downloads from different IPs) → auto-flagged for review

Reset a link

If a customer legitimately needs more downloads: - Order detail → download row → Reset → grants a fresh limit

Revoke access

If chargeback / fraud: - Order detail → Revoke Downloads — all links immediately return 403

File formats supported

• PDF, EPUB
• MP4, MOV, WEBM (video)
• MP3, WAV (audio)
• ZIP (bundle multiple files)
• Any file type actually — AAU Club Manager wraps in signed URLs regardless

Storage

• Files stored on Cloudinary — reliable, CDN-delivered
• No file size limit per AAU Club Manager; Cloudinary has a per-file limit (usually 500 MB free tier)
• Large files (>500 MB) — split into multi-part ZIP or use video streaming

Watermark

PDF auto-tanda dengan nama + email + tarikh — elakkan share.

Video besar

500 MB — stream, boleh mula tonton sebelum siap.

Admin

Upload

Lihat Create product → Digital.

Setting

• Max download (5)
• Expiry (30 hari)
• Watermark
• Preview file percuma

Monitor

Shop → Manage → Orders → Digital — bilangan download, IP.

Reset

Order → download row → Reset — had baru.

Revoke

Order → Revoke Downloads — semua link 403.

Format

PDF, EPUB, MP4, MOV, WEBM, MP3, WAV, ZIP.

Storage

Cloudinary; had per fail biasanya 500 MB.
